You built your app with Lovable, real people are using it, and someone has told you to “add error monitoring”. Sentry is the standard answer: a deep error-tracking tool built for engineering teams. Rectify is an AI ops hire that catches what broke, explains it in plain English and handles the support around it. If you’re the engineer, Rectify is the better fit.
What Sentry does well
Sentry earned its reputation, and it’s worth being clear about where it shines.
- Depth of error tracking. Sentry catches the exceptions your code throws, groups them by cause, and adds tracing, logs and profiling so an engineer can follow a problem through the whole system.
- A huge ecosystem. It has SDKs for almost every language and framework, and integrations with the tools engineering teams already use.
- Built for engineering teams. Quotas, sampling, dashboards, alert rules, SAML and SCIM. If you run a team of developers on a large product, Sentry is designed around how they work.
Where Sentry stops for a solo Lovable builder
None of that is wrong. It’s just built for someone else.
- Stack traces you can’t read. Sentry tells you that TypeError: cannot read properties of undefined happened on line 214 of a file Lovable generated. If you didn’t write that file, you’re back to pasting it into a chat and hoping.
- Setup across SDKs. Your app has a front end, often Supabase behind it, and maybe edge functions. Each part needs its own setup to be covered properly.
- No support inbox, roadmap or status page. Sentry tells you something broke. Answering the customer who reported it, telling everyone when it’s fixed and posting a status update all happen somewhere else.
- Nobody to tell you what to do next. Sentry’s AI debugging agent, Seer, can analyse root causes and suggest fixes, but it’s a separate paid subscription, and it’s aimed at developers.
What Rectify does instead
Rectify starts from what your user actually saw. When someone reports a bug through the in-app widget, the report arrives with a replay of the last few minutes, the console errors, the network requests (including the calls to Supabase) and the steps they took.
Then Quanta, Rectify’s AI teammate, reads the replay and the error together and explains what went wrong in plain English: what the user did, what failed, and the most likely cause, with how confident it is. Fix with Quanta goes one step further and opens a draft fix as a pull request on GitHub, the repository your Lovable project syncs with, for you to review. Nothing merges without you.
And it’s all in one place. The customer who reported the bug gets a reply from the support inbox. Your status page shows the incident if the site went down. The fix goes in the changelog, and everyone who asked hears that it shipped. Feature requests land on the public roadmap instead of in your DMs.

Verdict
Use Sentry if you have engineers who live in it. For a team of developers on a large codebase, with high event volumes and back-end services to trace, it’s the right tool.
Use Rectify if you are the engineer and you built it with Lovable. You get the bug, the replay and a plain-English explanation in one place, a draft fix to review, and the support, status page and changelog that come with running a real product.
Add Rectify to your Lovable app
It takes about two minutes. Add your product name and website, then paste one prompt into Lovable, and Rectify is live in your app: bug reports with replays, a support inbox, a status page and Quanta on shift from day one.
Free for good on the Idea plan. No card needed.
Questions Lovable builders ask
Can I use both Sentry and Rectify?
Yes. They do different jobs. Sentry catches exceptions your code throws, even when no user reports them. Rectify catches what your users experience, explains it, and handles the support, status updates and changelog around it. You can run both side by side.
Does Rectify work with Supabase?
Yes. Rectify runs in your app’s front end, added with one script tag or one prompt into Lovable, so it works whatever your app uses behind it. When a bug report comes in, the failed requests to your Supabase API are right there in the network logs.
What happens when Quanta can’t fix it?
You still get its triage: a severity, the most likely cause and how confident it is, the files it suspects and the steps to reproduce. That’s usually enough to fix it yourself in Lovable, or to hand it to a developer without a single follow-up question. You can reply to the customer from the same conversation while you work on it.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Rectify’s Idea plan is free for good, with no card needed. Sentry’s Developer plan is also free for one user.
Sentry’s plans and features are taken from its pricing page; Rectify’s from rectify.so. Prices change, so check theirs before you decide.
